Oprah and Hillary
Clinton's candidacy is a "seminal moment for women" regardless of one's political leanings, the longtime talk-show host and media mogul billionaire, Oprah Winfrey, said.
I really believe that is going to happen," Winfrey told Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday regarding Clinton's chances of becoming the first woman to win the presidency. "It's about time that we make that decision."
So is Oprah saying that we should support, and vote for, a Presidential candidate simply and mainly because the candidate is a woman? Isn't that sexist? Isn't that reverse sexism?
And should we have voted for a Presidential candidate simply and mainly because he was black? Isn't that racist, isn't that reverse racism? Yet Oprah may have done that - twice.
Contrary to liberal beliefs: sexism is not a one-way street. Racism is not a one-way street. "Fair and Equal" is not a one-way street.
Is Oprah both racist AND sexist? As a black female, she earned a billion dollars - in a sexist, racist country? How could that be? And did she politically promote sexism (Hillary for President, because she's a woman) and racism (Obama for President, because he's black)? And she doesn't see the hypocrisy, doesn't see that it's not liberal thinking, it's closed minded sexist and racist thinking ... and just plain wrong?
