I see everyone driving and holding their cell phone in their hand. Not necessarily using the phone or texting, just holding it in their hand. In other words they are always driving with only one hand on the wheel.
Driving with one hand can be dangerous. If you are holding your cell phone you have only one hand to steer the car. If you have to make a sudden turn, or a sharp turn, you may suddenly need two hands. Two hands on the wheel. If you need to make a sharp turn, will you drop your cell phone and grab the wheel with the other hand? Maybe. If you do, your phone can fall on the floor and interfere with your brakes or accelerator. BOOM!
If you are holding your cell phone in your hand while driving you are "driving dangerous", you are not in full control of your vehicle. BOOM!
And, if you drive with your cell phone on your lap it can slip off and, when you go to grab it, BOOM!
If you are driving you are steering thousands of pounds of moving metal. That being the case, please be alert and in control and don't go BOOM!
Driving is dangerous enough. While driving with your stupid cell phone in your hand I don't want you to kill someone, kill yourself or worse, me. Don't hold your cell phone in your hand while driving. Put it away. Leave it in your pocket or purse. Your life may depend on it.
